They are 100% water-soluble and colours blend easily unlike other brands of watercolour pencils. Used dry, these pencils offer strong vibrant colours, used wet they give optimal transparency offering unlimited wet and dry drawing techniques. Caran d’Ache Museum Aquarelle Pencils have a strong 3.8mm lead which can be sharpened to a fine point and the leads are contained in top quality cedar wood, preventing breakage and spliting. These watersoluble pencils are hexagonal shape with a matt finish (beautiful to hold) and have a matt coloured cap which matches the lead for easy colour identification.
