SUPERB antique REEVES watercolour work/paint box. Plus Artists sketch book. Hi and welcome to my listing for this old antique, original condition, REEVES water colour paint box and Artists sketch book circa 1920′s/30′s (perhaps earlier) a school or students set. The box itself is wood and measures about 7 inches (18 cm) X 6 inches (15 cm) and is almost 1.5 inches (4 cm) deep. It is pretty robust and solid the catch and hinges work. It is has a wonderful colour and patina displaying loads of character and having its original inside label really sets the piece apart. The paint box comes with a lift out tray and its contents as shown as well as the Artists sketch book which is pretty interesting in its own right containing pencil as well as ink drawings/sketches. Hopefully an interesting little set for a collector – worthy of further research a nice example.
