This is by far the rarest and smallest Roberson box Ive seen. Although it is small and very pretty it is still a working watercolour paint box but a very different one! The exterior is I think either Silver or Nickel plated so it is very shiny. It also still has its original Chatelaine chain. All of its original paints are present and quite usable. Internally apart from the internal cover and bears the Roberson name which is Silver or Nickel plated the box is white and is its original paint. There is one area of the paint cover that is marked maybe caused by one of the paints. This mark or corrosion could easily be restored. This is really the only negative thing I can find to say about this charming and exquisitely rare little box. I suspect it was made during the 1920s and I can easily see in my mind a charming lady of the period using this. The chain is perfectly long enough for someone to still wear this lovely working watercolour box. It is a beautiful box. Approx, 3.5 x2.5 x 1 cm.
