This is an authentic Jullian Paris full-size French box easel, crafted in France from solid European beechwood. A professional-grade easel, it is well regarded for its stability, portability, and traditional Jullian construction. The easel features an integrated wooden storage box with a metal-lined drawer, adjustable rear mast with canvas clamp, and folding tripod legs. All adjustments, clamps, and hardware function properly, and the easel sets up and folds smoothly. This example is in good pre-owned condition with normal wear consistent with age and use by an artist. The easel has been carefully cared for and lightly dusted only; no aggressive cleaning or refinishing has been performed. Original patina, paint residue on the canvas ledge, and other signs of artist use have been intentionally preserved. A well-made vintage easel suitable for studio or plein air (outdoor) painting. Sennelier Soft Pastels are one of the world’s largest chromatic pastel ranges and consist of high quality pure pigment finely grounded with a natural binder. The high quality composition of “à l’écu” pastels is the result of a perfect balance between binder and pigment. For gradient shades, increasing amounts of mineral fines are added, ultimately tending towards white. The exceptional brightness is the result of the pigment and of the natural mineral fines discovered by Sennelier in 1905 and that have been used ever since.
