The case has a slight warp in the top, which makes closing the right side clasp difficult, but by squeezing the top and bottom together it will latch securely. There are some scratches and skuffs on the wooden case top. There are foam pads between each of the lift out inner “drawers” as well as between the top lid and the pastels, all for secure storage.
