These pencils were gently used. You can see which were my favorites at the time. All tips were sharpened to a fine point for detail work. They are creamy, professional Artist Quality colored pencils. Their colors are vibrant, flow on smoothly and blend well. They are wax based but work in harmony with the Derwent Lightfast line giving infinite possibilities for color mixing. Working in unity does not affect the Lightfast standing. I have discovered Gouache as a medium so I no longer work with colored pencils. Derwent, makes their pencils in the Lake district in Cumbea England. They have since 1832. The same style of pencil we used in school until recently. Please: Look carefully at the pictures. I want you to be sure that you are happy with your decision. If you use colored pencils already I know that you will enjoy these. They are sturdy, between an HB and a 2B lead and can be sharpened with a knife for an infinite variety of mark making.
